Man

You were not scared of the depths of ocean and its immense expanse;
You were not rattled by the dread of night that wrapped all beautiful things that came alive in daylight;
You were not jolted by the thunder that ripped the sky and lightning that burned down the arbours;
You were not afraid of crawling into deep caverns that swallowed all the light with its unimaginable cavity of darkness;

What were you made of?
With a heart as big as the ocean's mysterious wanderer,
With a body as stubborn as the land mammoth,
With a mind as alert as the winged creatures.

But the wonderment is that you struggle to be yourself at the first sight of a woman;
You tremble in her presence.
You sweat when she's just a breath away and pass out after inhaling her scent.
Man, what has gotten into you?
Did you find yourself trapped in the maze of her plaited hair?
Did you feel your firm bones melt away from the gentle touch of her fingers?

Though you seem like a rock, bracing the Sun, the rain, and the harsh winds, you are destined to melt, erode, and vanish one day.
And, she is like a flower that blooms and wilts in tune with the recurring seasons.
